DANA BURGER
Dana brings the art to ArtsPlay. She loves to create art and she loves to inspire children to share their feelings, ideas and emotions in a creative, nurturing and positive environment. Dana loves to work with all media, especially paint, papier-mache and collage.

This year, in addition to running an after school art enrichment class at NVHC preschool in Reston she co-chaired the GRACE Art program for Wolftrap Elementary School in Vienna. For 10 years Dana taught elementary art in Montgomery County and led various summer art programs. While in graduate school for Art Education at Tufts University Dana helped run an after school non-profit art program at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester in studio arts and art history.

In her free time, Dana loves to do barre, yoga, hike and run around with her amazing energetic kids and husband.

Jenny brings the play to ArtsPlay. She views every day as a performance and loves to inspire the imagination process in children. She strives to find the creative spark in each child through the use of storytelling, pretend play and theater games.

For the past four years, Jenny has taught the Toddler and Me program at NVHC preschool in Reston. She is a former first grade teacher with Fairfax County.  Previously she taught kindergarten and pre-kindergarten in New York City, where she created an after school theater arts enrichment class.  Jenny has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Ithaca College and a Master’s of Education from Hunter College.  She has performed in various productions in theaters across New England and South Florida. Prior to teaching, Jenny was a Page at NBC and worked for the Today Show, Saturday Night Live, and Conan O’Brien.

In her spare time, Jenny loves reading and writing children’s literature, grabbing a coffee from Starbucks and, most importantly, spending time with her wonderful family.
